Your First Visit
During the initial visit the hypnotherapist will ask about your medical history and you will have to complete a medical history form. In the event that you are under the care of a psychiatrist for a particular condition and/or receiving treatment you will be required to provide signed ‘consent’ from your medical provider in order to begin sessions with the ‘hypnotherapist’.
The hypnotherapist will then discuss how hypnotherapy works, what ‘issues’ you would like to address and answer any questions you may have.
Before you start the hypnotherapist will request personal consent from you the client.
Can Anyone Be Hypnotized?
Yes anyone can be hypnotized if they want to be. However there are certain medications that can hinder the process. As well individuals that have cognitive impairments can make hypnosis difficult or impossible. To be hypnotized the person has to be able to trust the process. A good hypnotherapist will develop rapport.
Persons of average to high intelligence with keen imaginations find the process effortless.
